Date - 23/02
Venue - Fields Park
Crusaders v Crickhowell
Conditions - Fair To Middle!!
Having Lost 15 games on the bounce the lads were in desperate need of good performance and a win to lift the spirits. The Crue's have never beaten Crickhowell in their time in the GC so it's fair to say they are a bit of a bogy side for us. Having lost his Right hand man to a "Day in the House" and the other committee members to the Cup Game at the Welfare the Guvnor had to call on 3rd team manager "Temps" to help out!! We struggled to get a bare 11 last week with injuries and No shows and with the Peanut Hugging on this weekend I felt we would struggle to raise an 11!! However, we managed to get 14 with Temps putting on the Hooves for a potential GC Debut at the tender age of 36!! Dan "Playboy" Morgan also subbed along with Evan(back after a weekend in London)!! No Huw "Bobby Charlton" Mosley this week as he got himself tickets to watch the Welsh RUGBY side play the Italians so in came the returning Pezzie AKA Callum Best to replace him!!

Date - 13/10
Venue - Pontymister
Crusaders v Pontymister Conditions - Top Drawer!!
With Last weeks dismal performance put to bed the Crue's travelled the short distance to Pontymister for the Local Derby. With Pontymister 2nd in the league this was always going to be a tough game. Having lost Budgie to injury(unusual I know) and Tanny(away on International Duty with his Italian team) it meant recalls for Chris "The Jinx" Jenkins and Steve "Chicken Man" Prosser. Opting for just 2 Subs the Gaffer decided that Dan "The Hitman" Howls would drop to the Bench after his exploits last week and joining him would be Chicken Man.

Crusaders 2 Abergavenny Thursdays 8 (eight)
Venue: Fields Park
Date: Saturday 6th October
Referee: Clinton James
Conditions: Splendid
The Crus' took to the field against Abergavenny knowing that a win would see them leap-frog above them in the league. The hot tempered manager
Thomas, looking fresh in his new tracksuit, managed to field a strong side, with Budgie donning the gloves to take his turn on the graveyard shift.

SATURDAY 29 SEPTEMBER 2007
WELSH AUTOPARTS GWENT COUNTY FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION LEAGUE
DIVISION THREE
Whiteheads Sports Ground, Bassaleg
Referee: Mr J Gregory (Llangynidr)
Kick-off 15:00
Whiteheads 2 CRUSADERS 3
The Crus made the relatively short trip down the valley, hoping to achieve a repeat of last season's victory at this venue.
Conditions were ideal - a mild, overcast day, and the pitch in excellent condition, even allowing for the bottom half slope.
Crus missed two glorious chances in the first ten minutes, but with the only the keeper to beat, failed to hit the target on both occasions.
